High-quality bus route takes 70-75 minutes with tickets at VND40,000

The Hanoi People’s Committee has announced a new high-quality bus service from Ha Dong district to Noi Bai International Airport with an estimated travel time of 70 to 75 minutes and tickets costing VND40,000 (around $2).

The high-quality bus route will depart from Me Linh Plaza in Ha Dong district and run to T1 and T2 terminals at Noi Bai every 30 minutes from 5am to 11pm daily, for 68 trips a day.

According to Mr. Vu Van Vien, Director of the Hanoi Department of Transport, the high-quality bus route’s advantages include high-quality, cutting travel time with fewer stops, higher frequency, a fixed schedule, and moderately-priced tickets. He hopes the new route will convince passengers to switch from private vehicles, taxis, and Grab taxis.

“The opening of the new bus route will cut traffic volumes on roads to Noi Bai and meet the needs of passengers transferring from airport to the city’s southwestern area and vice-versa,” he said.

There are currently five bus routes connecting Noi Bai and Hanoi, of which four are subsidized routes: Route 07 (Cau Giay-Noi Bai), Route 17 (Long Bien-Noi Bai), Route 90 (Kim Ma-Noi Bai), and Route 109 (My Dinh-Noi Bai), and the high-quality non-subsidized Route 86 (Hanoi Railway Station-Hoan Kiem Lake-Noi Bai).
