According to the Organizing Board, so far nearly 200 booths have been registered for the event, including 100 for folk cakes and traditional gastronomy.
Highlights of the festival will include cake-making performances and contests, folk games, southern folk music and dances.
Apart from artisans of nine districts in Can Tho city, artisans from Ha Noi, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, the northern provinces of Yen Bai and Cao Bang, the southern provinces of Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Bac Lieu, An Giang, Hau Giang, Vinh Long, Soc Trang and Kien Giang will also participate in the event.
Joint venture cake making units will also perform their specialties.
